"I've been bringing my dresses and bed comforter here for about two years now and I've never had an issue. Everything has been cleaned well, but nothing to write home about. Until today! I brought my maid of honor dress in after it had been sitting in stains for two years because I had accidently forgotten about it. I thought for sure they wouldn't be able to get the old stains out. I picked it up today and it looks like new. Very impressed! Now I can make something out of the beautiful fabric to remember my sister's wedding. Thanks Starcrest!"
"My dress changed in color and lost its beautiful orange vibrancy during the last StarCrest Fishers dry clean in APR2023. The dress lost its "pop" and went from a beautiful bright tangerine/papaya color to a dull dingy dark orange (burnt orange) & looked almost dirty and no longer matched the corresponding suit jacket. Starcrest employee Jess who was on shift stated she clearly saw the difference between the before and after color. It was suggested to come in and speak with Bill, the Starcrest Cleaner Fishers owner. Arrived at the store, waited for a brief period for Bill who came out and did not greet me, "the customer". He just stared at me. I tried to greet him and only after the third attempt, he stated, "it has just been one of those kinds of days.” I prefaced never having a problem before with their cleaners or with the cleaning of this dress and advised that the dress had changed colors and showed him the difference compared to the matching jacket. He looked at the account and stated that the dress was at least 4 years old and shrugged his shoulder. He offered to dry clean it again. He asked if I would leave the matching jacket and I declined that offer. I told him it appeared dress had been washed with dark clothing or something that had pulled the color down, darker. He confirmed that it was washed with darks. He stated there is a white load dry-cleaning and dark load dry-cleaning and he would not want the orange to fade on the whites (translation: that he does not mind black fading on the bright vibrant orange). I told him I would never wash orange and black together. He stated with a nasty attitude that he had been doing this business for X yrs. In other words, he was the expert (which I respect). He very rudely said how I wash clothes in my house was my business and how he washed clothes at his cleaner’s is his business. I stated, "Sir, I am not trying to disrespect you or have a bad business relationship with you". He also tried to bring another customer (Dr.) into our interaction. The Dr. did not engage. Note, it is so unprofessional to drag another customer into an interaction that they have nothing to do with. Thinking Fushia pink (e.g.) dress washed with dark clothing, shouldn't there also be a colored bucket. He stated the jacket had not been cleaned by Starcrest but by Classic Cleaners (good to know). To further persuade me to leave jacket, he told me he was not going to dry clean my jacket. (He said it first and not me. How could he be trusted?). I told him I was taking my jacket with me and once he had cleaned my dress again, I would know whether they matched or not and if they did not match, clearly it would not matter to him based on how he had been speaking to me. I left the cleaners. Usually, when I drop off clothes, they say thank you and tell me when the item will be ready for pickup. None of this customer service received this time. I always drop my clothes off at the drop off door, but I needed to go inside to learn the true character, non-professionalism, and business reputation of this cleaner. This should have been a respectful positive interaction with the owner valuing a customer. I came in peace and desired a continued business relationship. He instead had a severe attitude when I had no attitude. I was pleasant and respectful from the very beginning with valid feedback about my dry-cleaning experience this time. I just stated the facts. Nothing rude, no ill words, no ill intent, just the facts of the experience. As a customer, I was not in the wrong and nor did I do anything wrong. The poor experience was not deserved or warranted. I always thought this was the best cleaner. The best cleaners are good to their customers all the time, not just when they are paying money but when the customers have valid concerns and provide feedback. I picked up my dress. It still does not match and will have to be repurchased or replaced. There was clearly a lack of professionalism and a lack of maturity in receiving feedback. A lack of customer care. Bill should not interact with the public."
