Washington Park Pool (Outdoor)

"I love this big beautiful clean pool. The only thing lacking here is lounge chairs. There are a few tables with umbrellas and metal wire chairs but no lounge chairs for lying by the side of the pool. Oh well, it's a great pool. They've updated the lock room since I was last there, admittedly that was years ago. But at any rate, it's nice with working lockers and a clean small bathroom and shower area."

"I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because this schedule is ridiculous. There is 45 minutes of family swim a day? And the pool is closed on Sunday, one of the two weekend days? Why do they have to separate family, teen, and youth times? Is this schedule actually convenient for anyone? Thankfully the lake is so close because I don't know if I will ever be able to swim here."

"I was at the Refectory Room for a baby shower. The location is very nice for a function of almost any type. The maintenance men were present and extremely helpful for the several hours I was present. From my understanding, the rental of the room is done by old school methods. You must go in person! LOL. Apparently this location is not electronically savvy. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing. It's nice to make some transactions face to face, but if time is of the essence, electronic transactions can be life savers. The facility provided tables and chairs and a kitchen area for your own supplied goods, foods, and beverages. Decorations are your responsibility. Not sure what guidelines there are regarding decorations, as the event I attended was decorated extremely nice with a personal touch. When the event was wrapping up the maintenance workers were johnny on the spot in breaking down the tables and chairs and putting them away expediently. There is available parking. I did not give this 5 stars because the parking lot could have been much cleaner than it was. Over all I would consider this location for an event."

"When people post reviews saying "bad neighborhood" and "dangerous" please realize it's code for "too many black people." If you're not a racist, then this is a terrific pool for all ages; my very white daughter and I go here every summer and have always had a wonderful time. Huge outdoor pool with shallow areas for kids, an awesome super-fast two-story water slide, and nice grassy areas to lounge in."
