"Although not particularly remarkable looking on the outside, once inside it is a beautiful and powerful space for contemplating the building itself, for religious reflection, or for meditation."
"I'm a wedding photographer and I recently shoot a wedding here. I must say it's a true gem in the heart of MIT campus! The classic interior is simply breathtaking, with its high ceilings and airy feeling that gives photographs depth. Its beautiful gardens right next to the chapel itself is amazing too! The greenery and the flowers create a stunning contrast with the stark architecture of the chapel. It's a one-of-a-kind space that will leave ever lasting impression :) I definitely recommend it as a wedding ceremony venue!"
"A quiet place to meditate and cool down from stress. Doesn't necessarily follow a particular denomination. People of all religions welcome. Priest can be quite strict with visiting times. Inside is quite dark. Small altar. Chairs circle around it. Near the Auditorium and Student Center. In front of Mass. Av."
"I visited on a Sunday. The rest of campus was busy with lots of tour groups with kids from Asia (India and China) and their parents. So it was a bit hectic. But the MIT chapel was quiet and peaceful. It is interdenominational, but there is a feel that will affect many who believe in a higher power. The architecture just makes one feel a shared was and similarity with others and a motivation to metaphorically and physically look to the heavens."
"This tiny chapel has a beautiful flow of water from the inside to the outside of the building. Intricate, curvilinear masonry really pushes preconceived notions of materiality potential. Situated slightly off the beaten path, this chapel is such a lovely and peaceful surprise."
