"This is a beautiful location in St Pete with lots of novelty shops and restaurants. It's very quaint with a nice quiet vibe. This is a very gay friendly area with lots of gay owned establishments. If you like antiques, there are quite a few antique stores in the area where you can find just about anything you're looking for."
"Great vibe in a rapidly up-and-coming area. The best part to me is that the district is growing organically and you don’t feel like you’re in a master-planned Artificial environment. That’s because all of the businesses are still locally owned and operated in original, repurposed buildings. No homogeneous master planned blocks."
"This area has lost direction and needs revival. Central Plaza was a destination for all. Now it's avoided like politics. It has been brought to my attention that the "Grand Central District" excludes "Central Plaza". How..? Those nice Trolley's tgth help folk navigate to and from the downtown/beaches run the length of Central Avenue. It's my understanding that is geographically the center of this avenue... Grand Central District is not a true reflection of our city. Trendy micro breweries, mix use condo buildings, and "Urban murals(formally called graffiti)" are all the result of progress I guess. Central Plaza is the public transportation hub for the city. Thus being named Grand Central Station. I guess the folks two blocks north of the Grand Central District aren't a part of the scheme. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MIDTOWN AND IT'S ECONOMY???"
"Great community. Wonderfully growing and diverse neighborhood just minutes from Downtown St Petersburg. This area is expanding quickly with new condos, new homes, stores and restaurants going up almost daily, it seems."
"This is an art community with plenty of stuff to do and shopping is awesome."
