"Might have driven by this place never went in but I think they are the makers of the Amesbury skiff or former makers of it and I just wanted to say thanks was a great boat I think it was wood and fiberglass not sure had it back in 2000 something when I lived in Plymouth Massachusetts off of White Horse Beach and it helped create a lot of memories for me me and my stepfather used to take it out fishing all the time and I can tell you stories about other boats creating waves that we had to jump and hitting the Bowie marker and it still was standingstrong no probs"
"If you love history and/or boats this is a must visit. Evan was very knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. It was a really cool experience to learn about how they made the boats and the craftsmanship is incredible. They also some of the best values in boats, especially when you consider they are handcrafted with wood, and look much cooler than fiberglass. We will definitely visit again next time we are in the area. Thanks, Evan!"
"If you have any interest in wooden boats, especially small work boats, row boats and sail boats, this place is awesome. It's very old, it's presented in very unvarnished form, the floors are not flat especially the ones on the river level (on stone), and best of all --- it's a working museum. Boats are still built and repaired there. I am taking a boat building class and it's excellent both from the content and from the location & history. If you expect carpeting, A/C, and a sterile overall presentation --- this is not for you. If you want to smell the wood and bathe in the ambience, visit Lowell's."
"Attended a wedding party rehearsal dinner for 50 here. The location is perfect and beautiful. The food was great. The staff is the best. When you first look at it you will have your doubts but trust me they pull off a fantastic event. And you get to support a boat shop that has been building boats for 250 years."
"Awesome boat shop with a current boat building program for the next generation"
