"We went here as part of a ghost tour. I loved it! So much history. I was happy that I was able to see William Bradfords burial site. Great view looking down on Plymouth."
"No trip to Plymouth would be complete without visiting Burial Hill Cemetery. Be sure to find William Bradford's grave and read the inscription: "Qua patres difficillime adepti sunt nolite turpiter relinquere." When you've translated this quote, and much more importantly figured out WHY Bradford's grave gives us this challenge, you'll be much closer to understanding the story of the Pilgrims. Love history? Then continue exploring by visiting "The Jenney" in Plymouth, the Mayflower II, and Plimoth Plantation - all three destinations are nearby."
"Historic and beautiful, very quiet. Amazed at how old some of the headstones are, they’ve done an amazing job preserving this area. Worth looking at if you’re in the area with time to spare. No animals allowed in The area."
"If you enjoy standing in historic places and experiencing views that are similar to what it would have been 400 years ago, this is well worth a lap. The cemetery has stones from 1600s (including original Mayflower travelers) on and contains the ruins of the original Pilgrim fort. Also on top of a hill with good views of the bay."
"What a gorgeous cemetery. I'm the type of person who loves going to cemeteries and seeing the dates and names. It's a bit of a walk and has a fair number of stairs, but it's worth it once you get to the top. Don't skip this one!"
