"I work for an organization that services adults with developmental disabilities. They scheduled a holiday tour of the mansion since many of them had never been. When walking the tour, the mansion staff would stop speaking about a specific topic or part of the house once our group got to them. They had documents in their hand with information they were reading aloud but out them away once our group approached. Overall, our group did not feel very welcome and included at the Governor's Mansion."
"The tour of the governors mansion was very nice and informative. There were docents in every room. They were knowledgeable and sweet. You do have to book in advance on the website. The process is very simple and free of charge. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in the guard. The entrance is the first gate. The mansion is beautiful and definitely worth a visit if you are in Atlanta."
"Very friendly people beautiful mansion lovely grounds and and Gardens"
"Wonderful tour. It's amazing that the site is used as the everyday home for the Governor. The time that the tour takes depends on your level of interest in what you see. I spent about 45 minutes to an hour, but needed to cut it short there due to the end of their open hours, Tues-Thurs, 10-1130. I could have easily spent another 30 minutes. Free admission and free parking. Children will not find much interesting there, however. My two are in first and fourth grades and were ready to leave shortly after we arrived, but that's just being a kid. Guides are knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions."
"Visited the Governor's Mansion for the Lighting of the Christmas Tree and a Tour. My son and I had a pleasant visit. The Governor welcomed everyone and his lovely daughter sang to us as sweetly as she looked. While there, we were entertained by the magnificent sounds of a high school jazz ensemble. Light refreshments were served. The staff were friendly and the Governor and his wife were both gracious. To end this wonderful festival of trees, we took a beautiful picture with our hosts. I am very happy I attended and plan on making it a tradition. This was a great way to spend a Sunday evening during the holiday season. I highly recommend to all."
