"Lots of history, gorgeous scenery, memorable times. Went during the German Christkindlmarket and it was scenic, great music and atmosphere. Not to mention the foods! Highly recommended."
"Beautifully decorated for Christmas!! I loved all of the history!!"
"We visited the Christkindlmarkt on a Friday around noon. First year of the market, so it's pretty small, but I was impressed that the first stalls you encounter are authentic - apparently run by a German family. That was a good start. Free access to see the Christmas decorated Bulloch Hall. They have a separate outside biergarten area w a fireplace. Only downside is parking, but apparently there is a shuttle from the courthouse which probably would be a good option. A good first year and I hope it becomes a tradition."
"Very disappointed that while I was there, they actually closed gates and turned off the lights as I was walking the tents that were still open. I understand that it was a rainy and windy night and that many tents had closed up shop. However, I walked passed several other folks still trying to shop and even the Oktoberfest tent with the older gentleman closing up his tent while I was walking towards the large tent with ornaments, but on my way back up to Bulloch Hall the gates had been closed off. After squeezing past those and going to the bakery and hot chocolate tent, where Gianni was kind enough to give me a cookie with my hot cocoa (with an awesome toasted marshmallow!) he told me he was being forced to close (before 8:20). I planned to come back again the following day; however, on my walk back to my car, the lights were shut off. So there I was, now alone in the the dark. Luckily Christmas lights still adorned the trees so I made it back to my car parked in their lot. There were a couple vendor cars still packing up. Thankfully. I am not sure I will go back nor recommend others to either. If you have a holiday event with posted hours, please check your venue to ensure all guests have left the premises before closing off gates and shutting off the lights. Certainly not a safe feeling."
"It was Was like a Small built more estate. We are still talking up of our educational. Experience experience. It was great to know that 1 of our former presidents I've been married in this house and that him and his wife's Niece would later become first lady. As Miss Bullock had also become first lady slightly. It was a piece of history being from the south i should have known we think everyone should visit"
