"If you do bring your dog to Camp Bow Wow in Lawrence, don't be too surprised if a couple of kids are able to walk in off the street and walk out with your dog. This happened to us today. Our dog was released to a couple of thieves without so much as an identification check. Our dog was taken out of the building and ended up deserted close to the store. Our dog is a runner; praise God he actually stayed put until someone from Camp Bow Wow found him. (And for that, I appreciate their efforts. But that would have never been necessary had their staff done their jobs in the first place.) The names of the dogs are listed on a wall in plain view for anyone who walks into the store. My children had to spend the entire car ride wondering if they'd ever see our dog again. Leave your pet here at your own risk."
