Reviews
"Very nice ship in the docks. You can visit it or take just a really close look."
"It was neat to stop by and see a replica of a cargo ship that was built in Salem. It is under construction now. There is a park ranger that lets a certain number of people on the ship at a time. Pretty everything inside was under construction but it was still fun to go in and take a walk around."
"Beautiful ship! The port of Salem was where Adoniram and Ann Judson departed to travel to India and ultimately Burma to do their life's work for the Lord. They were the first official American foreign missionaries (George Liele preceded them but was not sent as a missionary, though he is worthy of remembrance). They left here as Congregationalists and arrived in India convinced of Baptist principles. In India they were scripturally baptized by associates of the famous British missionary William Carey."
"Owned and operated by the National Park Service through Salem Maritime National Historic Site, this beautiful replica tall ship has a punny name and interesting history. The boat is only open to the public when park rangers are available to oversee the space, so plan accordingly."
"It was a great photo opportunity. There was also a nice beach area to sit and relax next to it. There were many small seashells to collect and boats to see. There is a lot of space to walk along the water, sit and relax, look at the water and take in the area. Enjoy the scenery and live in the moment."
