Reviews of Corliss-Carrington House (1810) U.S. National Historic Landmark, Williams Street
"The Yale Association of Rhode Island held its annual dinner meeting in the upstairs space of the carriage house last year. It was the perfect, convivial environment, a warmly colored wood and brick cocoon with just the right acoustics to capture the energy of the 30 or so guests without them straining to hear one another. Another 15 guests would have fit easily. Our guest speaker did not require amplification. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious for our caterer. It is a space that makes people happy and relaxed from the moment they walk into it and that turns strangers into friends. A Rhode Island gem."
"Wow, what is there to say about this venue besides that it is stunning! While it is historic & impressive, the space is also intimate & cheery. This is a gorgeous venue that will amplify your event & give your guests a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of this historic home. You will love having your event at Corliss-Carrington!"
"Highly recommend this beautiful property for your next meeting or event. It's a magical space overlooking downtown Providence. Indoors - the barn is a spectacular space and comes with a full kitchen that can serve as a secondary meeting space. Outdoor gardens are lovely. The hosts are warm and engaging. I always look forward to attending or holding events at Corliss-Carrington House."
"Our nonprofit organization has utilized this beautiful property for both training and special events several times. The carriage house/ barn has a large capacity room with twinkling fairy lights in the rafters, technology hookups, and a full service kitchen with seating for a large group just off to the side. Outside the building is a huge yard with various gardens, fountains, and a covered picnic area. We've hosted VIP fundraising events, program graduations, and other activities on this property for several years. Lorne, property owner and community leader, is easy to communicate and work with. You are responsible for any setup and cleanup that might be needed. Highly recommend when you need a "special" place to host your activity."
"A beautiful and grand home, conference facility, and location in the heart of Providence! Historic and characterful location with gorgeous gardens to hold a conference or extend your stay in a splendid setting. We held a corporate retreat in the Carriage House and the size was large enough for our attendees with much space to spare (plus large kitchen area). The property owner was very welcoming and we had a productive day in a lovely setting."
