"A nicely little quick stop if you are in the area. I went in May and the leaves on the trees block the view of the mansion. This mansion is a private residence, and I couldn't walk up the long driveway to get a better view of the mansion. In the Winter months, with leaves already fallen off the trees, the view of the mansion should be better. There is a historic sign on site. A quick stop to read the historic sign, get a view of the mansion and take a picture of two. This mansion is somewhat hidden. to get there, I drove through some houses and townhouses. This mansion is located off to the side and sets back between some townhouses. I expected this mansion to be located with some nicer larger homes. On the way to this mansion, you'll drive pass another historic sign for, Joppa Town and the Joppa National Historic Site with the church. If you stop there, and drive down the road/driveway that takes you to the church, the Rumsey Mansion will be in front of you across the field. I didn't realize there is where the Rumsey Mansion is. Maybe it is a better view of the mansion, but you won't see the historic sign unless you drive to the entrance of the mansion."
