"The Frederick County Historical Society, aka Heritage Frederick, has turned a lovely old home into a little gem of a museum. The current exhibit tells the story of women's role in producing textiles and how, with advancing technology, they helped change the local economy from agricultural to industrial. There are gorgeous dresses, antique quilts and sewing machines on display as well as photos and stories of women who lived and worked in the area."

"Frederick, Maryland is riddled with small museums and numerous historic locations. Frederick Heritage, formerly the Historical Society, captures the essence of this historic town and beautifully represents it through the ever-changing exhibits housed within the museum's main level (and upper level too). Docents are warm and welcoming, and the tour guides are both knowledgeable and humorous (TY Jack!). One cannot go wrong making a pit stop here!"
