"My girlfriend and I have lived here for a year lease now and are about to move. As a whole the property is vey well maintained the building is clean and everyone we talked to was extremely friendly. However the property management was below par, when we were first applying they were extremely helpful and answered every call we made. After moving in however we could never get a hold of anyone when we had issues and our moving out process has been an extreme hassle. When we got a dog and need to amend our lease they didn't respond for a month and when they finally did it was them accusing us of not telling them that we had a dog which caused a strain on our lease. As a whole I would not live here again solely based off of the poor management that we had and the lack of communication."
"Overall great—with few reservations. The good: -the staff! Amazing. Tiffany the building manager came out on a VERY rainy Sunday morning from breakfast with her kids to show me the unit because that’s the only time I was in town. Very accommodating and responsive. The maintenance crew: stellar!! Friendly, responsive! -the building is clean; trash etc is managed well. They take pet waste infractions seriously so overall very nice environment. -the residents (few owners, mostly renters) seem mostly to be 25-45 year old singles/couples. Very few kids. Lots of pets. Very friendly crowd and very quiet respectful neighbors. -the location: right downtown and walking distance to everything. One mile exactly to Hunter Museum/High Street. Convenient/walkable to everything except a grocery store (closest one on north shore). The bad: -if you’re into the whole illusion of safety with the gates and all, this isn’t the place. The car gates are perpetually down. The pedestrian gates work but one is literally right next to the trash area that has direct access to the building with no code or anything. The bldg door codes are armed only after 7p. Overall weak physical security but they do have a 8-5ish weekday parking security guard and the staff takes any safety concerns very seriously and are prompt to respond. -Parking prices are outrageous. I’m not sure if that’s the market here but I’ve lived downtown Charlotte NC, Savannah Ga, and Atlanta and had never paid this much for parking. $80/mo to walk caddy corner to a mildly sketch area behind an art studio? A bit much. I’m frequently on call and in/out at all hours so this bothered me a bit when I moved. Plenty of on street parking though so after 6p and wknds it’s not an issue. -the noise: constant! Factory across the street makes a continuous buzzing noise. Sometimes I can tune it out but most days I can’t stand to have my windows open. It’s heard in all units. Mine is furthest from the factory and its still obvious. The floors/ceiling/walls are PAPER thin. My dishes shake when the neighbor upstairs walks around. I can hear everything said in my next door neighbors apts, hear their TV, etc. Thankfully people are generally quiet. (Again, it’s a friendly crowd so the couple times it’s been an issue, party, etc, they’ve been happy to tone it down). It’s also at an intersection VERY frequented by giant 18 wheelers (factory, again), buses, fire trucks, etc so sleeping with a window cracked is usually out of the Q. The patio area is cute and usable but it literally faces the factory and the noise keeps people away. Very rarely see anyone there. -no amenities. You pay for your four walls and the great staff basically. This may or may not be a bad thing if you want to avoid obnoxious pool crowds, upcharged fees, etc. However, I pay the same amt as a friend on North shore with a pool, club house, free coffee, etc. Hopefully this is helpful. Overall, I’d recommend it!"
