"OK 2020 really put a tail spin on our taxes all because the company I work for screwed up and put on my W2 that i had an HSA account which I did not. with that being said I did not file then or 2021 and when 2022 rolled around I said we need to get this fixed so my wife connected H&R Block at this location on 86th street. she set the appointment for a Saturday this past April. we went and found out we were going to owe the IRS out the rear! Ok it is kind of our fault. We went to the appointment and sat with a gentleman named Otto and he started going our taxes with us. then by the end of our hour appointment he stated that we could go home and find the couple other documents that were missing. We did just that and had the missing information emailed over to his with in the next two days. fast forward a month my wife kept calling Otto and he never would answer so she called the main number and the lady that answered the phone said i will let him know. he never called us back not once. this went on for another month. now it is the beginning of Aug. and no replies from them at all. the wife once again called up and asked to be transferred to someone that could help. She got Mike on the phone and we set an appointment with Mike for another appointment on a Saturday. we went to see Mike and he walked us through the final steps that we need to take to get all of this in to the IRS. mike was a lot more helpful than Otto was by far but still the company itself dropped the ball and cost us 3 months that we could of had to start paying our debt back. i feel that the discount that they gave us was a slap in the face for them dropping the ball for so long. if i were you i would stay clear of H&R Block. we used them one other time back in the early 2000's and we were not impressed by them one bit but out of needing to get a handle on our taxes we went ahead and tried them once more which is the story you are reading now. Please stay clear of this location and if I were you I'd stay away from H&R Block completely. sincerely unhappy customer Update: Notice in their auto reply that they didn't even dispute my claims they just think people are stupid and will make that call since they posted their number. be warned you will get screwed over one way or the other. Stay clear of H&R Block!!!!!"

"I tried HR Block for the first time because I used WaveApps to do my book keeping and it conveniently can be uploaded into the online tax filing software. What I didn't realize until everything was ready to be submitted was that there was a limit of 3 states and I had 4 states to file, so it required me to hire a Block Advisor to complete it. I would have been able to file on time, but due to this issue, I ended up filing an extension and was assigned a Tax Pro in NC. She was friendly and helpful, but since I may need other ongoing accounting services, she suggested I find someone local to Indy where I'm based even though she would have been happy to help me and support my business. So I did some research and found Patricia Gregerson who seemed to have good reviews on here and the tax expertise to handle my more complicated tax situation than the average person, then selected her through the HR Block online system. On May 1 a message shows up that "Tax Pro Patricia Gregerson is reviewing your tax return", so I assumed that was the case. A week later, I hadn't heard back so I reached out and provided my direct email and phone number to clarify any questions. No response. Then I reached out again to ask when the estimated time would be for the review and filing to be completed. Still no response. A couple days later, May 12, I get a message through the online inbox from another Tax Pro based in TN who said she is working on my tax return, and she had a question. If Patricia couldn't do my taxes she should have told me and not left me hanging with no response. This is my first, and perhaps last, time I'll use HR Block and it makes me question all the positive reviews on here. Terrible customer service."

"I worked with Josh Franklin, he was very nice and helpful. I was able to upload documents before the meeting. Instead of an hr meeting. It took about 20 minutes. If you use H&R Block, I recommend using Josh Franklin"
