"Karen was rude to my friend from the moment he arrived at this H&R Block in Danville. She had an attitude because she was asked to do a simple return consisting of multiple years. She failed to inform my friend about paperwork that was "necessary" and he was forced to drive all the way back to his house to get it but afterwards, admittedly her attitude somewhat improved. But she seemed unknowledgeable or unclear or at the very least unsure about the rules for filing as head of household and rules pertaining to minor dependants. Friend could barely contain the laughter when she produced a bill over $800 for nothing but Karen mindlessly click-clacking some keys without providing any actual customer support. We quickly downloaded TurboTax. Don't be a Karen."

"We had a very upsetting experience filing our taxes at the Danville,IN and I hope this helps other people to not file with them and avoid any wrongdoings. We were upset with our last years file because they said it wasn't worth it to include our charitable donations we had records totaling over $1000 and didn't include our rent but gave them a chance since we had a free to file coupon. We made sure to check with the receptionist there AND the accountant to make sure we qualified and they assured us we should since we only had W2's. After filing our taxes they not only didn't include our rent but charged us $349 and when we asked about our coupon she told us because of our son we didn't qualify WHO WE HAD WITH US THE ENTIRE TIME AND SHE ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HIM BEFORE EVEN STARTING. She only told us we would qualify so that we would file with her because we stayed we wouldn't if we didn't qualify. We paid as she had already done them and finished then told us we didn't. We were very upset and tried not to make a scene and left. We will NEVER file with them again."
