"I brought a tax notice to them at a set appointment, and was met with an older secretary lady who answered my questions with plenty of apathy and buck-passing. Told ME to go call the IRS and ask them what to do about it. “Offered” the tax services with plenty of “starts at $100+ and just goes up from there depending what we have to do” but really in a tone that said “do ya REALLY want to make me do something during this workday?” I’m not even sure she was the tax professional I was told I’d be meeting with. After calling H&R Block customer service and being rerouted to the Frankfort location, I was met with EXCELLENT service and prompt reassurance that the state road tax office sends lots of dissatisfied customers to the awesome Frankfort office. Might just be the older front desk lady, I’m not sure, but it was a bad time till I got thru to the Frankfort place. DO NOT go here"

"Horrendous experience. Melinda hardly said anything to my spouse and I the entire time. We had to ask halfway through our appointment what her name was because she was so short and disinterested to even introduce herself or ask our names. Almost every question we asked was answered with “I don’t know” To make the experience even more laughable - as we said thank you for your time and gathered our tax documents, she had already turned her back to us hardly even saying goodbye, which rubbed us the wrong way. We left the appointment more confused than when we arrived and made no progress until we spoke to a different tax expert in town that actually took the time to ask questions about us and find a solution. Makes it hard to believe that they charge anything for service like that. Being kind, professional and even just pretending like you care does not take much effort. I’m sure there are other tax experts at this location that are wonderful and helpful, but our experience was so bad that I felt a review was warranted to save the time of others possibly working with Melinda."
