"The care I received from Paige, P.A.-C., was exceptional. She listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatment that yielded positive results. I definitely recommend asking for her if you have a chance, because she is amazing. Furthermore, the entire team at Applegarth displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit."
"I had to fire Keener on my second visit. He admitted he didn’t “know nothing about my sillyack condition” but blamed me for the associated skin rash a gastro had asked I see a dermatologist for. He tried to them tell me to take Zyrtec and I asked if it contained gluten and he said “gluten in medicine is absurd” and walked out of the room for 10 minutes, came back and admitted I couldn’t take Zyrtec. He took a skin sample and put me on antibiotics. I never received a call back in the month between visits and his orders were no call, continue the antibiotics. I found his bedside manner as quite rude and condescending. He is unable to listen to a patient who has information from an actual doctor (he is not). Later after my second visit, his diagnosis was false from the test. I gave him the benefit of doubt and figured maybe he’d study up a little bit on the condition since many skin conditions should get flagged for celiac testing but I was left undiagnosed for 40 years (at least 4 derms over that time). He did pronounce celiac correctly the second visit but then could not answer what the actual skin reaction was we deal with. All he could say was it was a “reaction to the gluten” but not describe the science. I asked about my test results he had taken at the first visit and he didn’t remember a thing about them (pretty sure he’s a semi-functioning alcoholic), then I got up and said his services were no longer needed and walked out. He never even looked at the rash again. While getting a refund for the visit he comes out and announces my test results from the receptionist window into the waiting room where other patients were waiting (HIPPA violation). This place is so shady that after firing him they still billed my insurance for the visit and think I owe them money when it’s the reverse since I overpaid my copay on the first visit. Added - after seeing another dermatologist, they were able to diagnose and treat my symptoms, but worse was the cancer spot on my cheek that Keener didn’t even mention. Don’t risk your life on this outfit."
"I do see Dr. Applegarth in LaPorte. I'm always impressed with how friendly and professional the Staff is. The receptionist, Keshia is excellent at her job. Dr. Applegarth always explains what he's checking for and explains any questions you may have."
"I rescheduled 2 appointments and then just canceled the third, four days before the appointment and they sent me a bill because it's their policy that if you reschedule more than 2 times you get a bill for a missed appointment even if you cancel it well in advance. I don't recommend this doctor. Find a different one."
