"I had tried to drop off a cat that I had found. We couldn't keep in our house as the cat was aggressive with our others. The lady at the desk scanned the microchip and found it had been adopted at their shelter. She wouldn't take the cat and told me to just dump it where I had found it probably was an outside cat. I didn't want to do that because we're not that far from the highway. The cat definitely wasn't an outside cat because of the location."
"My 4-ft long ball python, Ophiucus 'Oph' was taken by animal control, here. As soon as I was able, I contacted, This is ontop of trying to find a place, as well as rescue our things from the economy inn. Many things didn't make it. Including his 50 gal. More on that with my final review there... I maintained contact, kept asking what would be necessary to retrieve him. I'm puzzled as to my bf claimed Jim, I was a bit inconsolable at the time of said incident. We're still together... Why wouldn't I be able to retrieve him, it was my name on the room... ANYWAY, I needed proof he was mine. Cue FB messenger when I got him. Then I was informed of fees. Boarding and whatnot.. which I didn't have. He was already made available for adoption. I got him, thankfully. Unhappy, in cage that's too small, pool gone, good house, broken... Suggestion.. Just let a person know what's needed, either way. You all weren't really able to accommodate him properly. Why you all didn't take his cage with the heat pad and lamp and all his things... is beyond me. If you had, he'd still have it... That is all."
"Yesterday I went and adopted a sweet cat. His name was Daniel, I renamed him Mango. The process was sooooo easy there. They made it fast and easy. They answered all of my questions and gave me directions on how to properly trim nails, give medicine, and more! The women who work here are so kind. I could tell they actually care for their animals and want them to have good homes. I’ll always recommend going here for fur babies! ❤️"
"Fletcher was adopted here and I couldn't be more excited and happy. He's awesome. Staff very friendly and willing to help. Everyone looking for a animal, I highly recommend Bloomington animal shelter. Thank you for my new family member"
"I love the care and love all the staff and volunteers there have. I took a cat to them when a neighbor recently passed away, and they all bent over backwards to help and assured me they would do everything possible to get the cat adopted. I adopted two kittens three years ago from the shelter. I still have them and will love them forever. They're polar opposites, and don't love on each other, but they do play together. I've taught them both to play fetch. Yes, cats can be taught, and it's so much fun. I recommend anyone wanting to adopt a pet, the shelter has cats, dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs, and I'm not sure what else comes through their doors, but they are treated very well while they're there. I also donate food, toys, and whatever they need whenever I can. I hope if you're considering adopting a pet, that you adopt from this (or any) shelter. You won't regret it! Phoebe Sue (aka Munchie) is the black and white girl, and Chloé Jean (aka Tine Tine) the tabby-calico. Both 3 years old, happy and healthy, and very well loved!"
