"Dr. Siva and Dr. Kent have taken very good care of my doggo. She usually does not take well to men, but she loves these two so much. Dr. Siva and Dr. Kent are patient and kind and understanding when you have questions. I appreciate the opportunity that has been given to the community here and well, Urgent Care is going to be a little more expensive than going to your regular vet. But, it is worth it to see my girl get better from the help she has received from the Dr. Siva, Dr. Kent, and their staff. Thank you!"
"If i could give zero stars, I would. We brought our dog in for vomiting initially. 2 visits and $1600 later... our dog has passed away. Just 6 hours after leaving our appointment at this establishment. After being assured by the doctor that he'd be just fine. I don't know what was done to our dog but I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing their pet here."
"brought my cat in who had previous bladder issues that was seen as diagnosed by his regular vet. unfortunately he could not get an appointment with his reg vet and since it was a bladder issue we wanted to get him seen asap. when we arrived we had prepared with our vet to have records so that these new people could know his history and have a full scope of everything. his vet records and history was declined. when brought back to a room my a vet tech came in and we gave a full and extensive history, including the medicines he is on now and the same issues he is having that he had a few months ago. we explained that we assume it was the same issue but just needed to make sure. the solution last time was an antibiotic shot. the “vet” came back and immediately complained about my cat being a hard patient to work with (first red flag, my cat has 3 legs and is disabled) then expressed that he didn’t want to do further testing if “we think it’s the same issue” and just wants to send him with antibiotics that we’d have to administer orally and be on our way. he said “yall don’t want to pay for a $700 visit”. i could already sense this was a weird situation so i agreed. what kind of vet just doesn’t do testing for a diagnostics before prescribing meds??? i never care the cost, my pets will always be taken care of. the vet tech came back with pricing and there was THREE other things tacked on there that was not discussed at all. an antibiotic shot, a steroid shot, and a topical pain reliever… i expressed to the vet tech that we did not ever talk about those things. she told us she can have the vet come back in and discuss those things and i declined and also said the steroid shot they wanted to give him, he already takes, and the “vet” would’ve know that if he would’ve taken 2 seconds to read his chart we provided, and maybe didn’t tell his vet techs to not take medical history if his patients from other vets. it ended up being $300+ for the exam and medicine. at my regular that i went to the next day, vet a vet exam, urine sample, xray and medicine cost the same $300,, they also said he did extremely well behavior wise. wonder what the difference is!! the “vet” at this place stated he didn’t want to waste time testing my “crazy” (vets words) son and for it to be overpriced. but he was trying to charge us extra for things we didn’t discuss, making the bill well over $600 originally??? NEVER going back here again."
"Had a horrible experience at VetCheck Bloomington. Although the staff was friendly, Dr. Siva Nalabotu's attitude was utterly horrendous. When expressing concern about my pet's loss of bladder control after having received treatment there (the treatment was not explained in detail beforehand; merely said he was taking her back for X-rays and bloodwork), Dr. Siva Nalabotu told me, "I think you are making matters unnecessarily complicated," left the treatment room, and refused to continue explaining my pet's condition. Later, when asked by the nurse to come out and further explain my pet's condition to me, he refused. Also extremely overpriced. Would definitely NOT recommend taking your pet to VetCheck Bloomington."
"Since it's an urgent care they kind of have you by the balls so to speak. But took my dog in for a loose tooth and a wound to his arm from a dog fight. The office fee was $110, so it's pretty normal. The shock came when they said he needed antibiotics and a shot. First, they charge $20 just to waste a needle. The pills were $348, and the single shot was $120. So $600 later and the tooth isn't fixed, which I understand they are not a dental clinic, but seriously that kind of price for medication is absolutely ridiculous. Thats more then a hospital charges. I sadly feel this will be the last time we visit here and I don't see this place being around long in Bloomington. The staff is friendly. Just VERY overpriced."
