"If I could give them a zero I would! Apparently our taxes were taken so we would obviously owe them $400 for filing. Thats a ridiculous price but would be totally fine to make payments. They never sent us a letter or called us telling us this information. We found out because anything attached to our socials was FROZEN! Mind you we filed a month ago not very long and they had the nerve to freeze our accounts. They said the only way to unfreeze them is to find a way to pay them $400 immediately. I was beyond angry! Just a warning. DO NOT US THEM!!"

"I really like using h and r block I feel like I am always getting the best possible return when I go. However, it seems like it is getting more and more expensive every time I go and the cost is not made clear before you do your return."

"I had been going to H&R block for the better part of the last ten years and I've always had my tax refund put onto an Emerald card. Well, after realizing my card had stopped working, I stopped into my local H&R Block office to see about getting a new one. "Yes, I'm here to see about getting a new Emerald card. Mine quit working." This guy pops his head out, doesn't even get out of his chair and says, "Did you call the number on the card?" I walked out. I've spent far too much money with these people to be treated that way. By the way, when I followed his advice and called the number on the back of the card, the person who helped me told me that he could have given me a temporary card. He didn't. So ten years of my business? DONE. I'll never go back. I would like to add that my experience otherwise was always 5 stars, but...if you're going to offer a premium product, you need to have premium people ALL THE TIME (EVEN ON SATURDAYS). Maybe next time, he'll actually get out of his chair."
