Whiting Medical Center

"I called the doctor's office because I could not refill my prescription, I had no more refills. This is a prescription that I cannot just stop taking. When I called the medical center, the receptionist said it was discontinued and for new prescription I had to see the doctor. Mind you, I did not want to return here due to the disorganization and the unprofessionalism that they provided. And yes I did a review and I found a new doctor I can't see for another 3 weeks since I am a new patient. So I made the appointment. I reluctantly went to the medical center and the rude receptionist, did not say hello but said hello to the patient that signed in after me, I guess she was told about the review as well. So few minutes after arriving the manager called me into a side room and she started telling me about the google review and the balance on my account which Aetna themselves called them and told them they have not received any claims by them and to stop trying to collect from me until they send a correct claim. Get this, it took them almost a year to send the correct ID number and finally the claim was processed. (that is a whole other story). She told me we weren't expecting ever since you stated you have a new physician. I told her I'm here because your receptionist said to come in because the medicine was discontinued, and I don't feel well and this is a medical liability. She kept focusing on the review and NOT MY WELL BEING. I then told her the purpose of a review is to so you can help make changes and make your clients have a better experience. She pulled my file and said oh the NP discontinued the medications but I don't know why. so here, another example disorganization. She then said I will call Walgreens why they did or did not give you the medications. I am like do that on your own time, I am here to get the prescription filled because I am not feeling well and my time is valuable and i was told by YOUR RECEPTIONIST. Then she again said you owe your copay which is due before seeing the NP. I am like I have no problem paying. I felt chastised the whole time and mistreated for putting the review and not caring about my wellbeing. I sat there in the punished side room until they came to take my money. The front desk got a kick out of her taking me to the side room. I sat there thinking, I refused to be treated this way and so I walked out. She never cared about my wellbeing, just how offended she was on the review. Well Ms. Manager, hope you enjoy this review! I wish could give no star."
