Reviews of Montessori of Frankfort
"My grandchildren attend Montessori of Frankfurt and I couldn’t be happier! They are so excited to tell me about everything they get to do and learn there. Miss Linda is an absolutely wonderful director and teacher with many years of experience so I know they are in great hands. I needed to share my satisfaction!"
"My son went through this wonderful program from the time he was three years old until the age of five. I wish he could’ve gone on longer! I can’t say enough about the kind of personal attention he received, all the tremendous things he learned on a daily basis, and the fun hands on experiences he had while attending. I can’t imagine having sent my child anywhere else."
"I wish I could give more than just 5 stars! All three of my kids attended Montessori of Frankfort and have exceled in school thanks to this program. Ms. Linda and her staff are great!"
"Validating the recent review of another parent who withdrew their child, and writing this review under a threat of being sued for “defamation” by the Director. However, I believe it is fair to say I’ve also experienced situations of concern at this facility and also picked up belongings tossed outside the school doors when we pulled our little one out ahead of the end of year. Operations are behind a veil, poor communication, not truly a Montessori approach to the children’s education. In our experience. Disappointing to say the least."
"Before enrolling your child in this school, I urge you to do your homework. I wish I had done more research before making the decision to send my child there. While the facility is nice, what really matters is the environment, methods, and techniques used by the teachers, as well as their treatment of children and families. Unfortunately, in our experience, the school did not live up to its advertised “whole child” and “team” approach. One of the things I did not realize is that any place can call itself Montessori, as there is no mandatory accreditation oversight or licensing process. While this school is a member of the American Montessori Society, it is not one of their accredited programs and is not even on track for accreditation. They just pay a membership fee. I should have inquired about the teachers' credentials and experience before committing to the school. On the school website, the only information provided about staff credentials is that the director has "several years of teaching, camp counseling, and administration work." It is unclear if she has any real early childhood education beyond some courses she took. There is zero information on teacher credentials. In our experience, it became painfully obvious that our child’s teachers lacked basic knowledge of early childhood development and Montessori teaching methodology. Another issue I had was the school's excessive use of children's pictures and videos on their public Facebook page. In today's environment, this can be a safety concern. Although parents sign a waiver, anyone can access the page and see who is in the classroom on a given day. When I signed the waiver, I didn't realize that our children's pictures and videos would be used daily as free advertising potentially at the expense of their privacy and safety. Our experience with the school was so poor that we had to withdraw our child mid-year due to multiple mounting concerns. Unfortunately, even the way in which my child's things were dumped outside the building for me to pick up was representative of our entire experience with the school. In conclusion, while the facility might look nice, I highly recommend that you read your contract carefully and think twice before committing to this school. There are many licensed and accredited preschools in the area to choose from. Learn from my mistakes and do your research."
