"It seems everyone complains about the Edinburgh, IN, post office, but I think they do a great job. I've never had a problem with someone else getting my mail. I have informed delivery and everything arrives within 24 hours of my seeing it in the email. The mail carrier (a woman with blonde hair, don't know her name) always brings my packages up to the porch whenever they don't fit in the mail box. No complaints!! Note: And NO, I don't personally know anyone who works there!"
"Got a new mail person apparently and they never pay attention to the address my mail is always being delivered to someone else’s house but they can deliver packages just fine. Their drivers need to stop being idiots and pay attention instead of being in a hurry to go home. I miss the days when the mail person would go the extra mile now it’s like they don’t care but if their mail gets messed up I bet they throw a fit treat others mail how you would want your own to be treated."
"Consistently Incredibly poor service. It’s like I’m in the twilight zone. This has happened for years….carrier won’t deliver my package to the door. Call to complain….it’s the same story every time…they expain their cluster f of a system..drivers come from Edinburgh to deliver to Nineveh, always ask about my driveway…it’s fine no hill, not too far from the box, they say they’ll come out and look, never do. Every time I hear this but NOTHING actually happens. The only thing worse than usps is when you combine ups and usps called ups surepost, fed ex has their version. The package is shipped from a ups office but is transferred to usps…so when ups delivers the package to Edinburgh I get an email that says it was delivered to my front door complete with “proof of delivery” what??? I’m looking all around my house for the package, check neighbors front door, then I check the mailbox and there’s the little slip from usps. For some reason I call Edinburgh thinking it might get me somewhere…no, it’s the same practiced response….the mail comes from Edinburg…blah blah….is your drive too far from the box, hill too steep….welcome to the twilight zone where no one cares what happens. I decided to give up on my package for the day, it’s a 30 round trip to the post office to get the mail they refuse to deliver. I try to stop the next day but the post office is closed for lunch. Maybe today is the day! I’ll try again to pick up the package they refuse to deliver. I think the old term “going postal” needs to apply to the customers now rather than the employees. There is absolutely no accountability for the employees. I feel like I’m going to lose my mind trying to complete a simple task such as get my package that’s supposed to be delivered to me."
"It would be nice if my outbound mail was actually picked up from my box. It's always standing up and clearly visible, but if they don't have mail to deliver, they won't bother to stop. Do I need to apply for more spam mail, just so you people will come here and do your job?"
"I'm getting really sick of my mailman I'm not stopping at my house when I have my flag up. If I don't have any mail to be delivered, he still needs to stop and pick up my outbound! I bought the stamp, I paid for the service, I deserve to get it! This is about the 5th or 6th time he's done it in the last year. Train your people better!"
