"I live in small town America for a multitude of reasons. I know the face of all of our postal workers. They are friendly and efficient. The post office has the right feel for my wants and needs. Another reason to LOVE Whiteland Indiana."

"I think this post office is great! I have someone deployed that I send packages too on occasion. I have dropped off packages to ship overseas and the person who waits on me is Rick. I sometimes will have more than 1 package and it takes time to send, but he always helps me out and gets it done pretty quick. I like how small it is, so I pretty much get the same office worker each time. I just wanted to shout out to Rick for providing good service even when I have up too 4 packages to send overseas. Highly recommend thank you!"

"I was supposed to get a package delivered to me the 1/15. And on the tracking it said that they had attempted to deliver and they couldn’t so a notice was left. But I was home all day, and there was no sign of the package or notice but I did get other mail. So the 16th I went into the post office and asked what was going on and explained the situation and Rick was not very personable and didn’t really seem to care what I had to say. He told me that if they attempted to deliver a notice WAS left. So I just left. Then when my mail came I talked to my mail lady (which she was very nice and very understand and have me the number to call) and when the post office got it all worked out. Which it was their fault they didn’t the label well. She brought it back to me and apologized. I didn’t receive her name but she was the ONLY person that was helpful whatsoever."

"This branch is consistently closed, understaffed and poorly run. They service a smaller area of the community, so their shorter hours, while aggravating, make sense; but often they aren't even open during their posted hours. The service is incredibly poor, normally a single person is working the counter and the lines can get long. On my last visit, the employee could not get the scale to work, and dropped my fragile package from 2 feet above it multiple times to try to get the machine to read. After getting the weight he then tossed my package across the room into a container on the other side. There are good post office branches in this community but the Whiteland branch is an embarrassment."

"SHORT HOURS. The staff is nice enough. The hours just make it practically useless unless you work nearby (which I don't). I really wish my delivery post office was at Smith Valley which has earlier AND later hours in case I need to visit the branch. Also, if I miss a delivery, this branch doesn't allow any electronic redelivery system-which Smith Valley has. It's not a bad office but it's incredibly inconvenient. I avoid it unless I'm forced to go."
