I’ve really noticed a difference since Janeen has taken over as manager, problems are getting solved that were an issue for a long time. Zain from Kouts is amazing as well. "I dealt with them for about five years problem free until they came under new management. I do the budget plan and pay extra to have them monitor my use and keep me full. Last Fall they let me completely run out of propane for two days. Then this spring like every other spring I was ahead on my bill by several hundred dollars. In the past I would skip payments for a few months until my balance came down. This year they demanded I continue paying even though I was paid ahead almost $500, after I didn’t pay for a couple months. After letting us run out of propane when I pay them to keep me full and monitor, after they’ve threatened to not allow another fill up unless I continued paying monthly even though I was almost $500 ahead, and to top it off when I checked my propane they had let me run down to 15% which tells me I’m on my way to running out again, we decided to switch companies. Now they’ve owed me $404 for over a month. My new propane supplier actually answered my calls, which hicks Rensselaer does not do, and my new supplier was nice enough to put their propane tank out by the road for them. 6 weeks later, 33 phone calls, and one better business complaint, I still have a hicks propane tank in my front yard after being told repeatedly “by the end of the week,” “I’ll talk to the deliveries supervisor,” and I’m still OWED $404!!!!!! Buyer beware, 6 weeks with an eyesore of a propane tank from a business that lost me after 6 years as a customer, $404 now owed to me for six weeks(10 weeks if you count when we warned them we were switching companies plus storage fees for their tank in my yard, and repeated unanswered calls or answered with empty promises. I hope better business bureau discredits them because they are shady, spiteful, and seem like they couldn’t careless. I would rather burn my money than ever do business with these people again!!!!!!!!!"
