"We didn’t spend much time here but it was our first stop on our self-guided driving tour as I decided to detour from Stop 1 and begin here at Stop 28. It was worth a stop. The mill wasn’t too interesting but seeing the school house and the buildings were like stepping back in time like others have mentioned in reviews. The kids enjoyed visiting these spots AFTER seeing them highlighted in the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Museum. Now they wanted to flex. I’m grateful for the time capsule experience to take a glimpse back in time. If you don’t stop, it’s worth a drive by to see these historical places along the Underground Railroad corridor. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you."
"Great place for photos! We had family/maternity photos done yesterday and this quaint little spot was perfect. My only mistake was wearing the wrong shoes as some of the ground was soft. Every 4th Saturday there's a tour and a couple tables set up to buy goodies, which we missed, but I definitely want to go back!"
"A very quick stop on the Maryland Harriet Tubman Scenic Byway. The opening hours are very short and we missed them. There isn’t too much signage to explain what is interesting or historically significant."
"This place is AMAZING! Like a time capsule! Definitely worth a stop and visit! Great caretaker as well with TONS of knowledge of the history of the place!! HIGHKY RECOMMEND!"
"Great place to visit. I volunteer at their Discovery days when allCaroline County 3 grade children visit to learn more about their county and its importance as part of the Harriet Tubman byway."
