"Such a wonderful museum with a beautiful collection of American art, sculpture and portraiture. The portraits of the presidents were particularly interesting. The civil rights exhibit was very moving. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent about 2 hours exploring, would love to go back again someday as there's so much to see. We got there at the opening so there was no wait."
"This is such a great place to visit. It's more than just portraits! Also, make sure you enjoy the atrium. Grab a drink and bite to eat and just enjoy the stunning space. Take your time to wander through all the amazing spaces and look up; the architecture throughout the building changes and is beautiful."
"One of the Best experiences you can have in D.C. It's enlightening and soul filling. A large and diverse offering of artists of different eras and genres. Come here and expand your horizons and views thru eyes and minds of talented artists. D.C. N.W |X"
"My family and I attended a Saam Arcade Art showcasing how music and sound is essential to video games. It was a fun and educational event. They had a scavenger hunt which encouraged us to visit most of the Art Sections. When an event is on going, it's still a great place to visit for all ages. We checked out numerous unique and interesting art pieces in the galleries. Will visit again."
"One of my favorite museums in DC. Not only is it free but it also stays open later (7pm) than many of the other museums in the area. Hall of Presidents is impressive, especially the Obama and Clinton portraits. Go up to the third floor for an impressively large portrait of LL Cool J. The architecture of the restoration hall is classic and not to be missed."
