"Chad is the supervisor night shift he is so rude I work for abf as a subcontractor and I have load form chicago to indiana drop and hook when arrive in indiana need to get the other trailer and I ask chad that I need to get another trailee back to chicago he ignore me dose wont to talk jus say we are open at midnight after 2 hours dealing with stuped person i call chicago abf supervisor and they figure out to get trailer back"
"I’m not the type to leave a review even when a company treats me bad but Rude is def an understatement for ABF. From customer service. why would you treat a customer in such a rude way just for missing a call from you guys and called back to verify that everything is straight with delivery and next thing I got was well you didn’t have to call back and same thing happened when I called to schedule the delivery in the first place.. I told me shipper to def not use them again. RL carriers wayyyy better than this."
"Absolutely horrible customer service. First delivery date: I rearranged my schedule to make sure I was home for the delivery window of 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. I received a call from ABF freight at 3:00 p.m. saying that it was in a location 2 hours away and would not be delivered that day. We rescheduled the delivery. Second delivery date: I again rescheduled everything for their 12-hour delivery window. By 4:30 I was getting suspicious that again it was not going to be delivered, so I reached out to ABF freight (no one bothered to call ME). I was then told they had lost my item and did not actually know where it was. Fortunately the seller sent out another item then its place. Two days later they called and said they had found the item and wanted to reschedule it for a couple days from that point. I was assured they would do everything possible to make sure my item was actually delivered this time. Third delivery date: I again reschedule everything to be home for the delivery window, and again received a call saying they would not be delivering my item. When I asked to talk to someone who could actually give me some real information, I was transferred to the branch manager who conveniently was unavailable to talk at the time. When I missed his call later I called back within 2 minutes but again he was unavailable. I have called back two more times, and have not been able to speak with the manager. Fourth delivery date: I called to check on the status (again, no one calls me, I have to reach out to them). Apparently they just then realized I had paid an extra $200 weeks ago for "room of choice" delivery. They said they didn't have that set up, so they would need to reschedule AGAIN. The supervisor said she would call me back within an hour with a real plan for delivery. Hours have gone by and there has been no call. This company has horrible service and takes no responsibility for their ineptitude. I still do not know if I will ever actually receive my item. I will warn everyone to stay away from this business run by incompetent individuals."
"Rude and ignorant. They refuse to move ANYTHING up or down stairs of any kind. They have an 8am to 8pm delivery window and only deliver on weekdays. Will not give you ANY notice that they're on the way, or there. Will not allow time windows. They told me that the most they would do to help me, a single woman in a second story apartment, is back the car up as far to the sidewalk as they can and set it down. They were also nice enough to tell me that if I wasn't there to get it when the driver arrived that they didn't care who signed for it. Cool. When I asked them to change my shipment delivery location 10 minutes down the street because I can't sit on the sidewalk for 12 hours, they told me it would cost 90 dollars... I asked why, and they hung up on me. That's real cute. They made me call the manufacturer of the product to reissue a new delivery address because they're "worried about fraud", but they're fine with dropping my shipment off in a 12 hour window on a sidewalk in an apartment complex and letting anyone sign for it. Okay. Addendum - If you can't take a day off work immediately to sit there for a 12 hour window they start charging you 125 dollars a day as a "storage fee"."
