Reviews of City of Huntsville Dogspot
"There were 4 dogs in the park when we went. Our 6 year old border collie/ hound mix really enjoyed smelling every - she is a hound after all - and then running around with the other dogs."
"Could be a nicer dog park. They have a lot of seating for the humans and good access to water and a lot of space to run. BUT it's not safe for medium to large dogs that can jump a 4 ft fence. My poor dog was startled by a train passing on the tracks right beside it. He was able to jump the fence and almost got away. Scared me to death. We won't be visiting this park again."
"The city needs to relocate the dog park nearby so the same folks can use it. Reason being is the new bus station is going to open and there is already and existing issue with homeless folks sleeping in the dog park under the bridges after hours. I fear for safety issues of frail older seniors especially ladies..... this park is horrible anyways, half of it is 1/4 inch gravel and not much grass grows. Its a safety hazzard"
"My sweet girl loves this park and has made so many friends!!!! And the people all have been great too!!!"
"There's not alot of grass in the area for large dogs. It's mostly rocks. There IS a patch of grass and a small patch of dirt that equals to the size of maybe two average sized back yards.. the location itself isn't too appealing, under an overpass, next to a train track, and running along side a busy street. There IS alot of dog poop, I mean alot.. so keep that in mind.. if you are a responsible owner you'll notice the poop bags and trash cans... It's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit, it's close to where I live, and It's good enough to allow my dog to run around and play with other dogs..."
