"Peaceful boardwalk through Ebenezer Swamp. University of Montevallo has created an environment where you can explore swampland without fear of leeches or snakes (mostly)"
"We love the swamp. Get to see a variety of wildlife. It's a nice quiet walk through the swamp."
"Beautiful! Quiet and informative; there are placards that inform you about the swamp and natural wetlands in general. A beautiful place to connect with nature. Very easy trail; My mom is 80 and she had very little issues with the trail."
"Nice raised walk through wetlands with opportunity to view birds, bugs and fauna. It is reasonably well maintained. Parking seems a little tenuous, but the low traffic in the area may make it safe to park on the adjacent dirt road. My only disappointment was that the board walk did not expend beyond the tree canopy to the more open section near the concrete bridge. I usually get better bird pictures in that type open space."
"Great place to visit a swamp while staying clean and dry on the boardwalk. We saw lots of animals from Canadian Geese to an Otter swiming right below us next to the boardwalk. We took our two border collies with us and they also had a great time. Very nice to have restrooms at the start of the trails. We went just a little before sunset so we got some great picks of sun setting through the trees as well as some good reflections on the water. There are plenty of benches along the boardwalk to take a break and watch the wild life come alive around you when you sit still."
