Reviews of United States Postal Service
"Very nice helpful employees and the best mail carrier ever Teresa West"
"I applied to a program to teach courses in Spain this coming school year and was fortunately accepted. To participate, a lot of bureaucracy is required such as receiving an FBI background check, and receiving an apostille on said document, and acquiring a visa. In July of this year I mailed my fingerprint card which for one had prints of all my fingers but also my address, social security number, and some other incredibly valuable information. By a stroke of unfortunate luck the post office lost said package and now god only knows where all of that information is now. I remailed it a week or two later and it was successfully delivered… September rolls around and I need to apostille my background check for Spain. I mailed it priority with a tracking number on September 1st. I was told that within 2-3 days my package would arrive. Low and behold, my tracking number was never entered into the system. No scans, no origins, nada. I called the post office and after speaking to a robot was finally connected to a human after being on hold for literally 28 minutes. I presented my receipt and the tracking number just to be told what I already knew - it basically never was entered into the system. After being told they would reach out to me in 3-5 days after an investigation, I still have yet to hear from anybody. It was been nearly 2 weeks and now I am convinced somebody is stealing packages. Overall if I could give 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional, priority and tracking means absolutely nothing at this particular post office. The people are rude and the customer service is nonexistent. I likely will not be teaching in Spain and will miss out on the opportunity of a lifetime due to the laziness and negligence of others. You’re better off going to another post office or using someone besides USPS."
"They "tried" to deliver a package that needed a signature and then conveniently notified me after they closed that I could pick it up. I'm so sick of their lazy drivers who can't read numbers and lie about everything they do. They never once tried to deliver it. There's not even a re-delivery notice on the door like there should be."
"I feel like over the last 6 months to a year, the Post Office has gotten better and better, at least people wise, I have had 2 big issues with having a package delivered and both times, both the driver and the people working in the store have been nothing but helpful and gone out of their way to fix everything quickly. Mistakes happen and it can suck but they sure are helpful and quick to take care of everything and every person I've talked to or seen in person has been kind. I really appreciate the service and help I've gotten from everyone here."
"We wish someone could give us answers to these questions because the post office can’t. 1) How can it take 9 days for a card to go from Crawfordsville to Indianapolis? 2) How can it take 14 days for a child’s Birthday card to go from Crawfordsville to Fort Wayne? 3) Why do they charge for priority mail and then still take 2 weeks to deliver your package? (This was in July). 4) Why do they make you fill out a card to have your mail held when you are on vacation and then deliver it anyway for two weeks!?"
