"A beautiful walk over small bridges, a dock, and the waterway."
"What a wonderful place to get your steps in! Nice and wide and smooth for those that have mobility issues. From the starting point by the water tower it meanders by the Tombigbee River for 2.2 miles one way. Benches along the way to relax and take advantage of the tree lined path while listening to the squirrels and birds. Enjoy!"
"This is a great place to walk. There are lights although I have not walked after dark. It has concrete walks so even after a rain you can still walk. The walk is wide so when meeting or passing someone there is plenty of room. Great place to walk a dog."
"No matter how bad my day might be going, a few minutes walking at the Riverwalk can calm me down and lift my spirits. Beautiful scenery throughout the path. The butterfly garden is an enchanting addition. I deduct one star because the lights are not always maintained. Bulbs will go out but not promptly replaced. Right now the lights at the mouth of the path are dark, as are some past the 1.5 mile marker, which is prone to flooding that often leaves a slick, slippery film of mud that can be dangerous to walk on so it's important to be able to see where you're going. It would be useful to have a water fountain somewhere perhaps around that pavilion in the middle. During summer it can get quite hot out there. I am still mystified by that expensive amphitheater across the river at the start of the path. What was the purpose of building this structure if it's never going to be used for anything?"
"2 1/2 miles of paved walkway. Out and back. Beautiful. Some shade. Half you can see the River. The other half is through trees. Great for kids to bike and roller blade. Some benches along the way. Well maintained. Lighted at night. Felt safe."
