"Super cool and nice people. I moved out of Birmingham and Alabama 2 years ago. However, forgot a few of my shirts with them. They called me a few times and I couldn’t pick their call thinking why is someone calling me from Alabama. Somehow I picked up their call once and they told me that they had my shirts. They mailed those to me and shirts are in perfect condition! Thank you so much guys."
"This family ran business, may not be the commercial cleaners YOU are looking for, but they are great for Me. Everytime I get my clothes back, it looks like they put life back into my colors. They are so nice, they even met me after the hours of operation to get my laundry I needed immediately. I get great service everytime. They will even put a rush on your clothes if need be. If you do not do small town mom and pop places, then this isn't your shop. I like going where I am known by name!"
"DO NOT GO HERE! I dropped off two uniforms to be pressed only. I said several times just get the wrinkles out. NEVERLESS my total was $17. Why? Because they washed and pressed anyway and still charged me for their mess up! I know the reviews said not to go but I didn't see then until after I dropped my clothes off!"
"Sad to say because I live in Homewood and generally try and support local business. I asked attendant not to use any sort of safety pins on my clothing. Sure enough they disregarded my instructions. To make it worse, I think he is one of the owner's sons, was a nasty little punk when I went in to question why. I suppose they are doing so well they do not care about losing a customer. In the same transaction, I picked up a Brooks Brothers oxford and there was some sort of orange stain on it. Guy got an attitude when issue was brought up. I have been there enough to say this - staff is comprised of arrogant people who take personally any sort of customer service issue brought before them. I steer all my friends and family to Monarch. Once they make the switch they tell me they should have done so years ago. I agree with Leila Deep - if I could give less than a star I would."
"If I could rate Hunter's Cleaners a ZERO, I would. Ladies, beware of taking your nice silk to them.. I started using Hunter's 2 years ago because I heard they were gentler on silk and more eco-friendly, and in that time they have managed to ruin 2 of my tops, beyond repair. One white and navy striped top came back tie-dyed with pink all over it. I am honestly not sure how that happened, but I do understand, accidents happen. They did give me dry cleaning credit to make it right. I took a top to them a few months back, one that had a tiny spot on it, and when I picked it up, it was completely discolored. They said that they would try to work on it. I went by numerous times over a 2-3 week period and my top was "still not ready." I found a way to get in touch with the owner, who did leave me a message apologizing for all of the back and forth. Since then, he has disappeared and has not returned any of my phone calls. I called today and asked to speak with the owner again, and was told he would call me back. No less than 2 minutes after I got off the phone, the cleaners called me back and said that my top was now ready. When I went to pick it up, it was worse then ever - discolored with spots all over. It's hard to imagine that they "just finished" a top that I dropped off back in the middle of April. What is even more frustrating is the manager just stood there with a blank stare on his face when I questioned how it was worse, and when I once again asked to hear from the owner. I am pretty confident the owner will not be calling me, or even getting the message that I have requested to speak with him. As I said earlier, accidents happen, but what is the most frustrating part is no one will ever call back. Even before requesting to speak to the owner, I always needed to speak to someone else, who would "call me the next day." I have never had such horrible customer service in my life and I most certainly will not be trusting them with any of my clothes again."
