"Do not recommended!!!!im a single mother of 4 just getting by and work hard just to stay afloat. I called whites well company to just prime my pump after hurricane zeta. Something ive had to do several times myself untill i decided to have the city water shut off to keep a little extra money to put food on the table. In the passed ive used Bama well service and they came out with large truck with water tank on the back and charged me 75 dollars. First when i called the older gentleman said he would have his son call me and to text him my name and number which i did. I recieved a call shortly after and was suprised at how young he sounded. I imagined a sixteen year old. We aranged a time for him to come out and i informed him i would be at work but would leave my son my credit card to pay him. I recieved a call at work stating he was unable to prime it. He stated that my check valve had to be bad and needed to be replaced. I asked him how much and he quoted me 550. I told him it was working fine before the lights went out. Then i asked how much water he put in there because it takes alot. He said 8 gallon jugs. I was suprised because my well probably takes 3 times that amount...if not more. When i told him that he said he didnt have anymore water and it hit me. He didnt have a truck with a water tank. He literally came with 8 jugs of water. Didnt sound proffessional to me. I said no thank you to the 550 and opted to wait till i got off work and see if i could just turn the city water on at the end of my driveway for a few minutes to see if i could prime it myself. And unbeknownst to me charged me 100 just to come out and leave me without a primed pump because he didnt bring enough water. Luckily there was no lock on the city water yet. So when i got home i find my pump piping disassembled and still on at the breaker. I called him and asked him what was up and he said it just had to be screwer back on. So i tried to prime it and when i turned the breaker on the pump it would not come on at all. So i though maybe he was right and need to be fixed so i called bama well co. And told him the situation he said was it white well company? My mouth dropped i said yes? I didnt need to ask why i figured he had heard some bad stuff about it. So i asked him what he could have done that my pump wouldnt be turning on he said he might have stuck a stick in it to keep from getting shocked. So i looked and sure enough it was there. So i primed it agian and it took 15 minutes and my pump was on working fine. I thought it unfair that i paid 100 dollars for him to come do a easy job that i ended up doing myself so i called the older gentleman back and asked to be refunded. He said he would talk to his son and call me back. Of couse no call was returned so i texted the son. He said he did not charge me for service. He only charged me for coming out to my house. So no to the refund. Now...i figure it cost him 20 bucks in gas and 80 bucks of mine to waste my time and money. Shame on you."
