"I think she's a keeper. She listens, isn't pushy or condescending & FOLLOWS THRU ON THINGS! Wow! How often does that happen? Update 8/21/23: Today I had to see the nurse practitioner. My BP was WAY HIGH. I wasn't surprised because when I get really po'd it sky rockets & I was definitely po'd but we won't go into that. Of course when I tried to tell her that &explained I had just seen my cardiologist & he was fine with my BP I could tell she didn't believe me & of course that only made me madder. The fact I had been a PACU RN for many years held no sway with her. I believe she liked the sound of her voice. She wanted me to notify her if my BP was over 140/90 & I know that is an old- school limit for BP. At any rate, if anyone is going to follow my BP it will be my cardiologist, & from now on I will only see Dr. Van Winkle. The NP is a dud!!"
"I have seen her one time and now she has pawned me off on her nurse practitioner. You cannot get returned phone calls nor can you get refills on prescriptions. If you need your prescriptions you must call them in 96 hours before you need them. And pray someone does their job. In my case they still haven’t filled them. I am so angry I could cry."
"Dr Van Winkle is one of the sweetest and most patient doctors I have ever seen. She takes her time to listen to your problems and never makes you feel rushed or as if you’re an inconvenience. I have been to physicians like that before. I work as a lab tech in the same building she does and always refer people to her because she is not only a good doctor, but honestly, a kind and compassionate human being. I would recommend her to anyone."
