"Dr Coppinger and his staff (Robin, etc.) have had significant problems completing prescription authorizations over the past year. They have responded poorly to numerous phone calls and/or faxes from myself, the pharmacy and my insurance (Medicaid). Currently am waiting for a prescription refill requested October 9th (today is October 28th). I have made about 14 phone calls to my insurance carrier, AHN office in Whitefield, AHN corporate, my insurance carrier and pharmacy (CVS) to try to get one prescription refilled. Insurance carrier and pharmacy have been cooperative, returned calls and provided recommended solutions to solve prescription issues. AHN has falsely claimed that a prescription authorization had been sent in, complained that Medicaid does not pay enough, and often does not return calls. Doctor and staff become defensive and dismissive when performance issues are discussed. Above is one example. There have been several other issues. AHN has been my primary care provider for three years, however I can no longer recommend AHN."

"I have been using Dr. Coppinger for about 10 years and absolutely love him. He is just like what the others are saying, genuine and caring. He never makes you feel like he's in a hurry and takes his time and listens to you and is pretty spot on with his diagnoses. I moved farther away and then the office moved even farther away but I will continue driving the 45 minutes to keep him as my PC. Brandy is pretty awesome and caring as well. "Dr. Coppinger is the best, most knowledgeable, most caring doctor I have ever met in my 38 years. I have quite a medical background and have seen so many doctors through it all and Dr. Coppinger is the one that stands apart from every doctor I've ever met! He is genuine, caring, listens, and does not make you feel ignorant with his amazing depth of knowledge unlike most doctors. He is truly in his profession to help people and you can see the passion for what he does. He has a great personality and so easy to talk to! He is the most respectful doctor or medical professional I've ever met as well. As one user said, he walks you through the building all the way to check out and always shakes your hand (while looking in your eyes)! I've never had a doctor so courteous! I thank God that he put him in my family's life. He has been a breath of fresh air for us and I truly appreciate and trust him. Just when I felt like I've lost all hope in doctors and my health, we found Dr. Coppinger. He has changed our lives for the better and has shown me that I don't have to accept my situation, I do have options. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you Dr. Coppinger!"

"Remember in the 80s when doctors knew your name, knew your family and remembered the last time you came in? That's what you get here. Dr. Coppinger is, hands down, the best doctor I've ever had. The man cares, and it's obvious. He and his staff are outstanding. I've never experienced a long wait because I try to come early in the morning. Evidently, there might be longer waits later in the day, but it's probably because Dr. Coppinger spends a lot of time with his patients. This is not a quick "in-and-out" visit. He wants to make sure you're okay. It's just unbelievable. I didn't know doctors still do this sort of thing until I came here. UPDATE 1/31/19 - Saw Dr Coppinger again yesterday, 11 months after my last review. As another reviewer said, if you're not seeing Dr. Coppinger, you're nuts! Get this... When he's done seeing you, he physically walks you through the building to the checkout desk, shakes your hand, and wishes you well. I've never seen another doctor do this, but Doc Coppinger does it every time. Every other doctor just walks out of the treatment room and leaves you to wander around on your own, trying to remember how to exit. I'm telling you, this guy is the real deal, and the staff are friendly, as well. I can't speak to the other doctors in this office because I've never met them, but Dr. Coppinger is unbelievably good. And I'm a total jerk, super hard to get along with, so this review is really saying something!"

"Our primary physician retired and our late teeens/teenage sons were getting too old for pediatrician. We switched to SS Family - Dr. Capes - and are thrilled with the change. Dr. Capes is extremely thorough and very attentive, taking the time to get to know each of his patients. I absolutely don't mind waiting if necessary because I trust he is being just as attentive to his other patients."
