"This place is always amazing!!! Always has new cool stuff. Great art!"
"I was able to visit the M.S. Rau showroom this past weekend while visiting New Orleans. I admit I have 'stalked' these gorgeous museum quality pieces from afar for many years, never thinking I'd have the opportunity to see these pieces in real life. Must say, I felt like I had been transported to another dimension!! I told my son that if I ever had millions, I'd for sure furnish my home from this place. The history that is included with each piece just adds more weight to what you're allowed to visually enjoy. Although photography is permitted, I chose to let my mind capture mental images of my favorite pieces, and in my mind is where they'll forever remain."
"Wonderful & helpful staff. Went for Erte exhibit. Very revealing & lovely sketches. Are those appliques available?"
"I was really pleasantly surprised at what a fun experience it was to visit here. There are so many rare and unusual things to look at, including a collection of walking sticks and automated violin player and a fantastic old player piano. Piano. The rooms just go on and on filled with curiosities and beautiful items. The jewelry room is especially impressive with tons of gorgeous old valuable antique jewelry. We went to see the Erte exhibit upstairs, which was extremely comprehensive and very interesting. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend it to any visitor to the French Quarter. Looking around is free and just an awesome experience."
"For years we walked by this place without much notice. After seeing it we realize it’s far more than an antique store. Rather it’s a magnificent collection of super high end paintings, jewelry and antiques. MS Rau is more like a museum where everything is for sale. Three floors of beautiful objects of art and original paintings. M. S. Rau is really something to see"
