"Had an excellent first visit through a recommendation to see her back in 2021 but days before her last day at Northshore today, she had poor bedside manner which was disappointing. She mentioned that I came with the same concerns back in 2021; which was true, but there was obviously a need to look into further measures which was why I returned. I expected more out of someone who I could relate to as a highly educated, Black female with a son(s). The visit felt condescending and unwelcoming. Despite what may be going on in one’s personal life, we all have a choice on how we show up to work and how we service others. I am hoping Dr. Tekie has much better days in her next endeavor ahead."

"Hands down the best pediatrician around. About 6 years ago she saved my son's life. He had pneumonia really bad and was hospitalized, but I believe because of her, he had a good outcome. My oldest son is a Type 1 diabetic under the care of Riley's for that, but she is very knowledgeable about it and keeps in contact with them, so he receives the best care while he is here. Now my daughter has anxiety and Dr. Tekie is helping her through it. She takes the time to listen and really knows her patients. She is super nice and easy to talk to. Also, on a side note, she looks like Maggie Pierce from Grey's Anatomy."

"We have been seeing this doctor multiple times and all the medication she has been giving my step son hasn't been working and she doesn't want him on his meds unless he's in school he can't even sit down for 5 min to do his homework this doctor really gets on my and now we are switching doctors bc she doesn't want to up his meds"

She’s always asking questions and giving great recommendations/comments in order to maintain great health for my children. She’s not only so kind, but she’s also caring! I recommend her to all families!"
