"I have been carrying my personal lawn equipment here for more than 10 years and all of the sudden they can't take my business anymore becouse I'm not a commercial business. You would think they would accommodate the small guy a little more."

"I have tried to stay local and support small businesses but this is one that I can no longer support. For the past 3 or 4 years I have bought parts and various things from Paul's, even after being told by others that they would not go back there, but today I finally had to walk away and order from an online vendor. I have watched the price climb from day to day and have been told "we are selling to you at our wholesale pricing, knowing they were not, but continued to allow them the ability to supply me with parts. I sent one of my employees in to get a set of blades for one of our mowers and when he came back he asked for more money because he had to make up the difference in what I gave him and what Paul's charged him. I took the blades back and had to argue with the guy behind the counter to return them. I pulled the blades up online, while standing at the counter, and explained that I could get 2 sets cheaper than what he was charging me for one, so after a 10 minute disagreement, he finally gave me my money back and accepted the blades back. Paul's Small Engine has not only became a complete inconvenience due to their "cash only" policy, refusal to work on any equipment in a normal time frame if you didn't purchase from them (wasn't asking to be put in front of anyone just simply asked if they could look at my mower within a 2 week timeframe), and now their get rich on each sale pricing. Spent my last dime there and will take my business elsewhere. Good luck with your "small town" business and "we work hard to treat our Customers good" joke, I had rather get fair prices than be inconvenienced and robbed."
