The Green Barn Pets

"13 years my dog's regular groomer had to abruptly end her career due to health issues. As you could imagine , it was a very stressful situation to have to find a new groomer after having the same one for thirteen years, she is like family. After speaking with several counterparts at the hospital and taking days to read the reviews on various grooming websites. I settled on the green barn. When I called the green barn mid January to get an appointment, I was told the next available appointment wasn't till the end of february. I was told I would get a call back because they were busy and needed to look at the scheduling book. To my surprise I received a call back at the end of the day and was told they had an opening the next day. I did find this strange but was excited based on reviews. The following day I got my dog ready, and we headed to the green barn for her appointment. As I pulled up it was a quaint little building with a gravel driveway and an older gentleman standing outside, ready to greet us. I thought to myself... we're off to a great start. I walked in and noticed a few dogs to the left in a crate near the kitchen area. I saw three women (apparently employees) standing around an island trying to grab a few bites of food before getting to work. This is where the red flags began. It took several seconds for someone to acknowledge me and when they did it was lack luster at best. The women at the island looked at me as if to say yes what do you want. I stated that I had spoken with someone the day prior and was there for a grooming. There was no "welcome, thank you for trying our establishment, let's see what we'll be doing today. She asked me to fill out a waiver that was very ambiguous in my opinion and quite frankly made me uneasy. (Everyone who has a pet knows that most of us see them as our child). Here I am about to leave my child in the hands of people I don't know, who want me to sign a waiver that I had concerns about. When I asked a question about one of the statements listed I was given a facetious response with an eye roll. I immediately got turned off and informed her that I would not be using the services of the Green Barn and left. That lady just didn't realize that I saved her. I'm sure they could care less about losing the business which was obvious, but I will make sure that no one I know uses them either."
