Reviews of Farhat Mohamed MD
"He was the only doctor who got to the bottom of my issues."
"I found out after seeking a second opinion that a vital, important test that should have been run on my breast tumor after surgery was Never ordered! I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't found my second opinion doctor who questioned why the test was never ordered. This test would have told me if I needed chemo and radiation or just radiation! Dr. Farhat walked me down the hall and got me signed up for chemo that I may not need! This was a huge red flag for me. The oncologist that I have now spent more time with me in one visit than Dr. Farhat did in three visits! Always get a second opinion and take time and ask questions, I ended up Not needing chemo and it saved my body a lot of stress and may have saved my life! It just goes to prove that with some doctors their patients come before their wallets! If you have stage one or two breast cancer or prostate cancer get an Oncologist DX test performed on your cancerous tumor, that will tell you if Chemo is necessary!"
"Dr. Farhat was my husband cancer doctor. Very knowledgeable and his while staff is very organized and efficient. When my husband James passed, he sent the most beautiful letter sending his condolences. It was not a standard letter but a personally written letter. Letter made me cry. He is also a very classy, handsome man!"
"Dr Farhat wasn't very concerned about my care. He only monitored my blood work every 6 months but never ordered any other test. I had discovered recently that I have stage 3 breast cancer. This could have been prevented thru early detection. I was under his care for 3 yrs prior to my diagnosis. The doctor never physically examined me. I had to go to another oncologist. She had taken my health & life seriously. Please take my advice.Get a second opinion before it's too late."
"The doctor himself is great. I was a new patient so I only got to see him one time. It was his office manager, Ronald and the nurse, Lynn, that caused the 1 star rating. I had been on a blood thinner medication for over 10 years and as it was a inconvenience going into the dr office frequently, the doctor suggested switching to a medication which didn’t require so many office visits, which I was so excited about. I took the new meds and about 3 days in started having an allergic reaction. I called the office and was transferred to a nurse triage vm where I left a message and it says they will call you back by the end of the business day. I didn’t get a call back until a week later, from Ronald. I re-explained to him what was going on and he proceeded to schedule me an appointment with the doctor a week later. I reiterated that this allergic reaction was bad (severe itching and bleeding) I needed to get something figured out asap. He said he would talk to the nurse and call me right back. I got no call back. I called again the next day the receptionist had to find him and he tell him to call me back today asap. So he calls me and says the nurse left you a message. I explain I haven’t gotten a message from anyone. My phone is next to me at all times and there was no missed call or vm. Instead of him just proceeding past this issue he keeps saying she called you and she’s not the type of person to say she did something if she didn’t, further implying that I was lying. Which I wouldn’t waste my time calling if I already have the information. He was extremely rude to me and I later had to call after hours because the reaction got worse (fingers swelling) for the doctor which a nurse called me back and she was also rude. Very unprofessional. I will not be returning to this office."
