Reviews of New Visions Counseling Services
"I have been going to New vision's counseling since 2020. Allie griggs is who I see. She has helped change my life in so many ways. I am grateful for the steps that led me to this counseling office. Definitely choose this office. You will not regret it"
"If you only need the minimum amount of time of hours, you have to pay cash. Just be careful if you have any kind of life event such as deaths in your family, injuries, or anything that can keep you from being there. They never answer the phone when you call/text. At least not until it suits them. If you do miss for good reason, and try to make up sessions and are charged after being warned about absences, they will still kick you out Incomplete and keep what you've paid, eve whem they see that you're trying tour best amd don't have a license. They aren't good at sending out proper updates to the people in charge of cases either. This whole experience was very unprofessional."
"To call this place a treatment facility is a joke. The classes I was attending were supposed to start at 7pm and end at 9pm. The facilitator was rarely on time, class typically started around 7:30pm. The class always ended a half hour early. I'm guessing they said the class was two hours so they could bill the insurance company more? Besides that, the classes would have soany people in them that by the time we went around the room to say how our day was the hour was up and we never spoke a word about anything therapeutic."
"I was enrolled into this counseling service. I attended 11 weeks of classes. I had missed a lot of classes due to being sick. I had doctors notes for every classed missed. There were some missing doctors notes. I told them to give me the unexcused classes and I would get my doctors notes. Because every class I missed was excused. Having a lot of medical issues. I went to the rest room, which must have taken longer then they liked. Which I had a doctors note for the rest room. Well the advisor of this program told me I was being discharged for being in the bathroom for too long. That the company couldnt charge my insurance for 2 hours when I was in the rest room for around 30 mins. However these classes are an hour and half long. So every class theyve charged my insurance for 2 hours for only an hour and a half class. This is insurance fraud. I'll be calling both my insurances to let them know of the extra half hour per class they charged that class was not in! I'll also be calling the BBB. This class was completley unprofessional. The group leader btings her dog into group. I'm scared of dogs from a prior attack. So the dog made me very nervous and anxious. It was disgusting. The dog would have his genital out, scratching its buttocks all around the floor inthe room. All this in group. Most classes didnt even cover substance abuse. Mainly going around the room adking how everyones day went. They dobt even start the group untill a half hour after start time. THEY ARE COMMITING INSURANCE FRAUD!!!!!!! ID GIVE ZERO STARS FOR THIS PROGRAM! Choose your recovery program to help you not there pockets........"
