Pathways to Healing Counseling

"I am not one to post reviews, but I felt this one needed to be posted. I was going through multiple life changes at once, had been out of work for a significant period, and could hardly afford to see a counselor, but I thought it was essential to work through my struggles with someone's assistance. I thought I was meeting with one of their therapists, but apparently, she felt differently. For our first session, she forgot the day we were meeting and scheduled it for a different day, which was a common error, so I overlooked it. Just before the second session, she texted me, said she would be about 30 minutes late, and offered no reason. I was concerned about her action but wanted to be understanding, so I overlooked it again. During the second session, she seemed cold and disinterested. She assigned me to read the introduction of a book she had me purchase and said she would message me that evening to set up the next session so we could work on the book. I let it go for a few weeks and didn't hear back from her. I didn't sense she really wanted to help me, so I went elsewhere. It's been nine months, and I still haven't heard from her. I was struggling with something and went to them for real help. Their stated commitment to caring for others and walking them through difficult seasons drew me to call them. While they promote their care and attention to those they serve, I have to question that commitment seriously. Consider the cost before using their services."
