"We utilized Hoffmann Architects for a detailed building analysis of our headquarters in Glastonbury, CT. They did such a quality and professional job. It was a great experience and we highly recommend this firm. Scott Smith of Smith Brothers"
"Amazingly disappointed. We hired Craig Hargrove as a neutral expert in a case involving an elevated walkway constructed of gravel and pavers installed against the exterior brick wall of an old building built around 1915. There were egregious errors in Craigs report including that the walkway was 4 feet to 5 feet high when it was really only 21 inches high. I am astounded how an error this material could have occurred, and when the attorneys asked him to review his report he stated that he was standing behind it. The material used on the outside of the building to waterproof it was applied incorrectly and not in accordance with the manufactures recommendations. When we inspected the waterproofing it had most definitively failed and again Craig refused to correct his report. The list of errors goes on but suffice it to say in my opinion, the level of incompetency is astounding and his fees to write his report and a subsequent follow up visit exceeded $15,000 I would never recommend this firm or anyone associated with it. Per the comments below, I did first reach out to Hoffman directly and was promptly threatened with a lien against my property if I didn't satisfy the invoice by the end of the week. There was absolutely no attempt to discuss my concerns."
