"My mother was a victim of Dr. Abdo’s malpractice. She came in August of 2023 with a bruised middle toe. Shes diabetic. He put a soft cast on her foot, didn’t answer many of her questions, just shrugged mostly. He told us to keep the cast on for 5 days. The cast became extremely tight over the 5 days and when it was cut off my mother’s toe was not light purple like it was when we went in, it was an extremely dark purple. From August 10th to this current day, her toe has gotten darker in color and now 3 of her toes are black and gangrenous. The doctors aren’t doing anything since it’s dry gangrene and cannot amputate. It has a horrible smell and it looks horrible. At the wound care center my mom was given Betadine which burned her foot and leg (she had a burn on her leg) and burned a hold in her leg. There’s nothing doctors can do but wait for dry gangrene to turn wet and then amputate. She’s in extreme pain and at the same time the doctors just stated she has stage 4 kidney disease. Don’t go to Dr. Abdo. I do not recommend it"
"Not happy at all! This doctor saw my pretty large ganglion cyst said "hmm" and did nothing to extract the fluid. He cut me during a half a$$ attempt to shave my calluses, quickly put some stinging gel on it , no band aid,, and didn't tell me, I had a bloody new white sock when I got home. Would not let me see the x-rays (for which I got no lead apron to wear during the taking of xrays), then wanted to charge me $5 to view them.. They said they don't email them or post them online. (Like every other doctor in Indy). No results of the xrays even. That "health locker" they had me sign up for online is empty...no results or anything. Now I can't even get into it..He wanted to do a surgery to shave down a bone, but failed to explain it well. It just didn't sound right. So I'm getting a second opinion. THE MOST DISTURBING PART OF THIS VISIT: HE DID NOT WEAR GLOVES (OR AT THE VERY LEAST SANITIZE) WHILE EXAMINING MY FOOT. I didn't see him sanitize after the exam either, he took the paperwork and walked out, touching doorknobs and counters. So how would I believe he washed his hands before touching me? Yuk. BTW, now I have a disgusting discoloration from where he cut me, which was pretty large shave off of skin. Its been a few months and it hasn't faded at all. Thanks for nothing but a waste of my time, money, and a scar."
"Horrible appointment and experience here with Dr. Abdo. For starters; if the demographic you serve has foot issues - you need a new building or parking situation. Such a long walk from the parking up to the office. I go in and literally spend then less then 10 minutes total with Dr. Abdo. He gets out the ultrasound machine to find that I do have a stress fracture. From there - it was me asking him questions on how to treat it. His advice was to wear a brace and that I can still walk on it. No. That’s not how fractures are solved. Just to see what other information I could dig out of him I ask should I elevate it, put heat or ice on it - and he replies “either”. I swear this man seemed like he was in another dimension. Talking slow like Eeyore and didn’t even help with my problem. Will now have to go spend money elsewhere for a second opinion. Don’t waste your time here!!"
