"Called to try to schedule a medical eye exam today. The lady who answered the phone acted shocked that a patient was trying to call to schedule a medical eye exam. She was rude. And told me that I needed to have a drs referral. My insurance doesn't require a referral and I've never needed one for any opthalmologist I've ever seen. I wouldn't have minded getting a referral if they had been kind about it. First impressions are everything. Called Indiana Eye Surgeons. Told them my medical conditions and they have me seeing a doctor tomorrow! Their receptionist was incredibly kind and competent."
"I really love this office, however, they never informed any of their clients that their pediatric office had moved. I went to the wrong location with both of my children in tow to be told it was in a different building. The wait time for the new area is significantly longer. Outside of this mishap, they office is great and the doctor is very patient with my hypersensitive/hyperactive son."
"I went there about 4 years ago. I had already been to another doctor in Evansville where is close to where I live. I heard good things about the doctors there. The trip was exhausting (170 miles) at least and I stayed in a hotel for two days. My anticipation was overwhelming to meet expert eye doctors I had heard about. I had plenty of money to pay everything, but from the visit I could see they were acting annoyed even with my presence! I don’t know what was going on there, but I’ll never go back! From the nurse, doctor, and staff, they didn’t care about business that day. Nobody even smiled. What a nightmare. I lived in Indy for 43 years before moving down here, and I felt like I was back home until this experience. I even graduated from North Central High School which is close to them. All I can say is if you have the ability to visit the place before you have a serious problem that would be the best thing to do. I’ve been to some wonderful doctors, but I didn’t find one here."
"Front desk person on her cell phone. I was picking up glasses ordered for my daughter to try on to ensure they fit. I have never been to the office previously, and didn’t know that their was a person sitting at a desk (not in view) by the wall of glasses in the waiting room to assist for trying on glasses and tightening them as needed. I asked where to pick up glasses and front desk woman looked up from her phone to say, “It’s right there, do you see it?” I have never been to the office prior, and I just see a wall of glasses where she is pointing because you can’t tell there is a desk and a person back there behind a second wall. She acted annoyed and like I should just know where to go. The person who fit my daughter’s glasses was nice. The initial office experience from front desk at Midwest Eye though is enough for me to go somewhere else."
"Took my 9 month old to this office after being referred by our pediatrician. The woman who checked us in was very nice. She told us to wait a few minutes and a tech would be with us. We waited probably only 5 or so minutes and went to the room. The tech was very nice and then Dr. Roberts saw us. He was so nice and pleasant, and he was awesome with my son!! Staff was quick, friendly, and professional. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I definitely recommend Dr. Roberts!"
