"fairly give them a 1 for politeness however for this to be a predomominantly African American and white area their are 90% Mexicans teaching and attending school here and unfortunately they do not know how to do African American hair properly regardless of the grade of hair I observed 5 black people getting their hair done along with me on Friday 9-22 and nearly all of our hair looked disgusting I came in for a wash and iron out after the young lady Gabby ironed my hair out her instructor was called over who then proceeded to blow dry my hair again I have never had my hair ironed out then blow dried again I have beautiful texture of hair so this process confused me and once the student was done it looked like i'd been standing under and umbrella in the rain I left with no complaints because obviously they have been getting away with poor services when it comes to African Americans and I actually had to pay someone to go over the work who advised me their were no products like heat protection used on my hair which made my hair dry and bitter I will never visit this location and I've lived in the area over 15 years"

"I went here during Spring Break to get my thick, curly hair colored (cover grays) and get highlights. Two weeks after my service, I washed my hair (and yes; Black people who wear their hair straightened can go 2 weeks-especially after color and heat) I had so many knots and matted chunks of hair. I emailed the owner on FB and via email with pictures of what came out of my hair; no response. Today, a week after sending that message I have not had any response. I washed my hair again and still had knots and matted sections. It's looking like I'll have to get all my hair cut off. I'm devastated. I went 9 months without any heat to let it grow out and it was so long. The attached picture is what came out while washing and detangling. I didn't include what was in the shower and what I swept up. I'll be bald in no time. The fact that the owner hasn't bothered to respond, offer a referral or refund is beyond professionalism."

"I visited the 82nd street location near Michael's and had a wonderful experience. It was very neat and clean. Students looked engaged and professional Jennifer gave me the best anti aging facial. I'm recovering from a surgery and it was an excellent treat. She gave me realistic advice and tips The instructor Maria was very friendly and I was elated to find out Vicki is the administrator. I know her from a previous beauty college years ago. I think I found my new favorite place. I booked another appointment"

"I cant brag enough about this place. My first visit was just a trim before my wedding which was very relaxing! I decided to return and have them do my wedding hair and make up. They made everything fabulous for me that day! I felt like royalty and left looking like a queen! The price was extremely inexpensive so I tipped well. I just returned for a new look and let student decide! Wow nobody recognizes me! My hair is fantastic and bouncy healthy! She took off several inches but wow! Def need to try this place out! Im hooked."
