"Nurse Practitioner Moses was so helpful. She physical went To the pharmacy to ensure my prescription were accurate. She always brings excellent and encouragement when she enters the room thereby making my visit plesant The pharmacy tteam is amazing and kind. They made sure I was able to get assistance with my medication by having me apply for an assistance program which I did not know about. Christie took care of my paperwork. She was so helpful and efficient. Thanks to all of their hard work."
"I have only been to the Athens one, but maybe the Huntsville one is better. I plan to try it next time. I do use the Huntsville location for my prescriptions though. The Athens location, which currently employees Amy as the doctor sucks. She will NOT listen to things tried or things that made things worse. She tried to prescribe me something I clearly told her the OTC made worse. So she instead tries to give me a higher mg? How does that even make sense? A few months later the medicine, which was for heartburn was pulled from the shelves everywhere and law suits created because it is causing cancer. Then my adult son goes, same thing. A prescribed nasal spray made him lose his sense of smell. He went to a specialist when it happened. We told her this and she swore up and down that he doesn't have smell because of his allergies. We don't even try to tell her this anymore. She will not listen. She feels she knows everything, even more than a specialist. She STILL prescribes him this nasal spray which caused him to lose his smell. She will NOT listen to her patients. If you have a few things that are connected going on...she will tell you she can't see you for all those symptoms in one visit and that they are different things that will have to be seen at another date, even if these things are all related. (experienced this myself) The doctor at this location before her .....he wasn't any better. He was Cole. They both suck. I am not sure if this location can get a good doctor. I heard the Huntsville has a better doctor. We will see. Their prescriptions are a good price overall at Huntsville though. My only issue with that is that the inhalers they prescribe, well the proair quit producing and the alternate Sandoz sucks. They know they have issues because he said that other patients also had issues with them and yet they still market them. I do realize they may be the only thing some people can afford, since the others are $20 each and so I actually commend them for keeping them, but they may should let patients know they are not as good quality as the higher ones. $20 is a good price as well. (Ventolin)The Sandoz you get 3 for $20....more than the proair, which was $10 for three, but still a cheap price. The main issue is it doesn't spray well and leave a funny feeling in my sons throat (probably a slight allergyti their aerosol or something) It is good they keep them on the market. It does suck proair quit ALL because their things would clog up. The Sandoz does this as well and doesn't work as well. So I hope the producers bring back Proair. We didn't have an issue and some people are just picky. As for attitudes .. the workers at both places are very friendly, except Amy. She is not friendly....she does this fake acting friendly but gets rude if you don't agree (like with the reason my son can't smell after seeing an ENT) and other things....she also is VERY insulting. The last time we went she insulted my son and spoke to him as if he was a small child. That is not okay to do to an adult. She definitely feels she is better than other people. ALL the other workers at both places are very nice though and I just try to "agree" with her and ignore her insults, after all it is services on a budget."
"On Oct. 5 I had an appointment at Central North Alabama Health Services – Huntsville Family Health Services to get a referral authorization renewal for a hand doctor specialist that I need to see after having hand surgery in February. I needed to have the referral authorization renewed for a November 9th appointment at the specialist’s office. I was told on Oct. 5 that it would be taken care of, and Central North Alabama Health Services billed my insurance and has since been paid. No referral authorization request was ever initiated. I’ve called many times and was transferred to the referral staff member. She never answered her phone and her voicemail was full each time I was transferred. I’ve had two cases opened, visited in person and sent two emails. No response by this office as of today – Nov. 2. I’ve since changed doctors and will get a referral from them. In my opinion - Central North Alabama Health Services – Huntsville Family Health Services has been paid for a service they didn’t provide. They don’t care at all about their patients, answering cases that have been opened, answering emails, and providing someone to help when problems arise."
"I was helped by Nicole in registration and the process was quick and easy. I have not been here since April 2013 and I am glad to be back. The three working at the front desk were very helpful and I was able to get upstairs quickly and they were helpful to everyone coming in."
"Worst doctors visit I have ever experienced. Came into my appointment early. The doctor was 3 hours late due to a “procedure” taking longer than expected. Then he came in he had blood splattered all over him. Didn’t wash his hands when he entered my room. The room had trash on the seat and the floors left over from who knows when. He was supposed to send 2 referrals and forgot to send one of them. Don’t try calling because they never answer the phone. It’s overall terrible. I will be finding a new primary care doctor."
