"I absolutely enjoyed my experience specifically because I had a really rough experience at another orthodontist and Birmingham Orthodontics really took that into account. They listened to my story and told me that could help! They did their best to make sure that I didn't have another bad experience. They reassured me several times throughout the entire process. They also took into account that I was interested in dentistry and utilized the consultation as a teaching experience. Overall, I felt really prioritized as patient."
"I believe Birmingham Orthodontics did a great job getting my teeth straight. The staff was professional and the office was always clean. I would, however, recommend shopping around to see if you can find a company that has more flexibility in appointment availability if you have a work schedule that is difficult to alter or leave for long lunch breaks. I am a nurse and work 12 hour day shifts. I do not have the flexibility to leave patients to get adjustments on the days I work. I would often find that I would get assigned an appointment on days I was scheduled to work. There would be no availability for alternative dates on my off days that week, even if I tried to change the date the same day it was assigned. I would find myself having to wait until the next week or so to schedule an adjustment. I have heard similar feedback on the company from other healthcare workers regarding appointment availability issues that accommodates their schedule. This may be an issue with most companies, but I would still recommend shopping around to see if you could find alternative options that have the ability and willingness to work with adults with less flexible work day schedules."
"I’m highly disappointed how my child was treated by Dr. McCarthy on his visit. The provider was visibly upset and definitely took it out on my son. He was verbally and also physically abusive to my child. I’m definitely considering switching clinics due to negligence and nasty behavior."
